While the market is going gung-ho for products like anti-ageing creams, UV protection creams and many of the like, how would you feel if all these ends can be met by eating fruits? Most of the people who think that “greater the cost, the better is the product” would not take it seriously. But even researches say that home remedies are equally effective in maintaining a healthy skin to products available in the market.

While most of the products target at problems, the fruits we are going to discuss prevents the occurrence of skin related problems.

Foods that are rich in anti-oxidants are essential for healthy skin.

Following is the list of 8 foods which can get you healthy and flawless skin.

Tomatoes

Tomato is one fruit that you can find in every refrigerator. Most of the time used to prepare salads and in cooking, you have more than few reasons to add it in your diet. Tomatoes are helpful in preventing sunburns. It also saves your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. Moreover since they are immunity enhancers, you stay away from skin diseases.

Pomegranate

This fruit has been found to save the skin from harmful effects of the sun. It is also a good anti-ageing food. It improves the blood flow in arteries and keeps the skin glowing for a longer age. Pomegranate is also helpful in lowering bad cholesterol.

Kiwis

Kiwi is a rich source of vitamin C and Vitamin E. Vitamin C helps in preventing and reducing wrinkles. It also protects your skin from harmful effects of sun. Vitamin E is also known as the beauty vitamin as it improves the texture of skin and keeps it tight.

Green Tea

The polyphenols present in green tea acts as a shield against harmful UV rays of the sun. Having it twice the day and even sipping it can save your skin from sun.

Spinach

Popeye did not eat spinach just to gain power! Spinach is rich in lutein which is helpful in keeping the skin hydrated.

Buck Wheat

Why spend millions on botox treatment when you can do the same with buck wheat. The rutin content of buck wheat helps in keeping the skin tight and wrinkle free.

Wheat Germ

Wheat germ is known for its anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. It also helps in the formation of new skin cells and keeping it younger looking. Wheat germ contains zinc which is good for skin health.

Cantaloupe

Cantaloupe is rich in vitamins and it also protects the skin from sunburns.

While I am not against the multi million skin care products market, I would still suggest that natural food does not contain any harmful chemicals. So they are safer and equally effective. Drink a lot of water to keep your skin glowing.
