You Slice Off Sleeping Hours- Your Heart Is At Risk

A study in Korea after their year-long observation stated. People who take fewer hours of sleep in comparison to the standards are likely to develop metabolic syndrome.

It is a syndrome that becomes active. When the body has high cholesterol, blood, sugar, blood pressure and more amount of fat in the blood. Extra fat around the midsection is also a big contributor to the problem.

They observed that all those who took less than six hours of sleep. Gradually developed heart diseases, stroke or diabetes.

Dr. Jang Young Kim of Yonsei University, South Korea. Wrote in his email that such syndrome can be hazardous and magnetize a lot of chronic diseases.

A detailed experimentation and observation were carried on 2600 adults to prove the validity of the point. After keenly watching their lifestyle and sleeping pattern for around 2 years. It was clearly proven. 41% people who slept less were more vulnerable to develop the syndrome and get acute diseases.

Their medical history was also examined and the test took place from 2008 to 2011. After 2.6 years, these participants were again observed and amongst them 22% developed metabolic syndrome.

The detail study of the tests and observation were published in the journal Sleep.
