One of the major sources of toxicants that are consumed by our body is from the food that we eat. We eat the food grown by the heavy use of chemicals and fertilizers. So the very source of nutrition is in one way poisoned.

To avoid the intake of such food one alternative is eating food grown by organic farming methods. We do not mostly have the facility to grow the food organically in our home, but we can certainly grow healthy plants indoors.

Prerequisite for growing these plants in a home:

  • Prepare the growing area. You can either use pot with small holes at the bottom for better water drainage. Keep the pot in shallow drainage container. This will prevent the spilling of water on the floor. Or you can simply put some stones at the bottom before putting up some soil on to it.
  • Soil. Though normal soil can be used to grow the plants at home. It is recommended to use a potting mix for better yield.
  • Keep the plantation area sufficiently warm and exposed to sufficient sunlight.

6. Mint

7. Aloe Vera

It is a miraculous plant and is a must to be grown in the home. Its natural gel can be applied directly on skin and hairs. This amazing medicinal plant is a must grow in every garden and home.

8. Pot Marigold

Apart from being beautiful and a great addition of beauty in the garden, these plants are great to cure any problems related to skin. The petals can be used to relieve sunburn and cleanse acne and blemishes on the skin.
