I don’t know but have you ever realized that you lost some weight and the issue bothered you so much? Well, you are not alone. This is an issue that most people take as very sensitive. I know of some cultures where even commenting to someone that they have lost weight is a serious offence.

True, in the current world where deadly maladies like HIV and AIDS are common, most times people mistakenly associate weight loss with it. In some cultures where people believe in curses, weight loss is usually the significant sign. In short, weight loss is associated with near death.

It is important to know that it is not at all times that weight loss is a cause of alarm. At times it could just be a normal reaction of the body. It is possible to lose weight unintentionally if you have had any of the following conditions.

Changed diets or changed activity levels. This may be due to skipping meals or sudden changes in daily hectic schedules
Mood changes like stress or depression can also cause you to lose weight
Medication taken like antidepressants
Nausea
Inflammatory bowel disease
Poor nutrient absorption
Diabetes
Cancer
Hyperthyroidism
Dental problems that make chewing difficult
If you have any of the above conditions it is most likely that your body may react by losing some weight. If you are already aware of that, you will then need to worry unless the weight lost is so significant and causing other problems. However, there are other situations when you may be forced to see a doctor or an expert to address your weight loss problem. The very first reason is when you are not so sure of what is causing the weight loss. This is the time when you will need to adhere to the doctor’s prescription in terms of diet and other recommendations.
You need to be careful not to rush into assuming that your weight loss is normal. You must be sure of what is causing the weight loss and address the issue before it spills. Weight loss can derail your progress. It can affect your career and even affect your relationship. This is a clear indication that it is not an issue to be taken for granted. 

Do not just sit back. Your weight loss can even affect your family. It can even affect you psychologically and get even worse. For example if you are losing weight and you cant figure out why, people around you begin to spread baseless rumors about you then it is likely that you will even lose more weight. This is not what we want. We must be keen to arrest the situation while it is still young.

Finally, you need to always keep in mind that your weight is in your hands. You can have it weigh you down if you choose. If it is too much, we do not like it. If it is too low, we still don’t like it. It is up to you to decide where you want it. It is very possible to have the weight you desire. All the tips are known to us. Choose wisely and choose the appropriate weight for you.

It is time everyone appreciated the efforts being put in place to try and end the AIDS menace. In one way or the other, there is a way you have contributed in the same fight. We have seen every time we have AIDS conferences, the statistics being shared are impressive. The scientists have not tired either. They are still working hard to try and ensure that a permanent solution is found. I know that you are also trying to keep preaching the gospel that will help to others if not only your peers. All these efforts are commendable.

We all long for the day a cure will be found for AIDS. That will bring it a history behind us. The damage it has caused is way too much to bear. You see young people being widowed, children being orphaned and you wonder if God really exists. He does exist, He cares for us and He has a purpose for letting this happen. The question is; are we taking the lessons He expects us to take? It is good that some people have embraced the truth in the word of God because of HIV. 

God is the one who has instilled the brains in the scientists who are working every single minute to try to come up with a solution of the epidemic. We must be grateful for that. All the prevention tactics are clearly prescribed in His word. He advocates for abstinence and being faithful to your partner. He is the one who will bring a permanent cure to all maladies AIDS included when he will feel the time is right. We do not need to give up or to doubt his existence.

You are also obliged as a person to stop the spread of HIV. You can begin advocating for prevention strategies to everyone who has an ear to listen. You can also choose to avoid being infected by practicing the same. Above all take care of your partner. For those already infected, you can always ensure that you do not spread the infection to your partner or anyone around you. You must also learn to spread love even to those who are infected. They need your support. They need to be bolstered to keep living positively. Some of them are only victims of circumstances.

Before a cure can be found, the only way is to prevent new infections. This is either you as the one who is already infected or not. Be responsible for your own life and that of the people around you. This is the only way we will live this life well. We cannot live on our own; we need our neighbors to survive and to share a smile with. Do not neglect your neighbor because they are ailing. You could be the one in that situation. What would you want to be done for you? Do the same thing to your neighbor. You will be rewarded greatly in the end for saving a life and helping making the world a better place.

We are all aware of the importance of sleep in our well being. If we have a good night sleep, among the things we will enjoy is being awake and alert throughout the day. This is a very vital aspect of life as they are the key to our well functioning. However, the sad thing is that not everyone is privileged to enjoy the good night sleep. Yes, many are the people who face sleep problems.

This is the sole reason for this article. This article will explore the issue of sleep problems and then it will further share some options that those who face sleep problems have. Sleep problems can cause a lot of problems. Without proper rest and relaxation of one’s mind and brain, one is likely to be involved in car accidents. Worse still, sleep problems can ruin careers and even marriages! Don’t you see the sense then in ensuring that this issue is addressed? Well, there is hope, all is not lost.

When you do not get enough of the healthful sleep that is needed, you begin to have sleep debt. Like all other forms of debt, it can weigh you down if it gets too much. You need to find a quick and fast way to curb it before it spills. The solution is in you. There are different causes that can lead to sleep problems. Some are self inflicted hence can be avoided while yet others are not. For instance, people who suffer from diabetes, heart disease or even extreme obesity are more likely to have sleep problems. Here, these are conditions that cannot be escaped; they are situations we have to live with. However, if we follow the instructions for coping with the conditions, we are likely to improve on our sleep problems.

Then, there are some habits that can rob us of our healthful sleep. There are some of the habits you should avoid if you need to regain your healthful sleep. If you are serious about ending your sleep problems, kindly take these seriously.

If you are used to taking alcohol or stimulants like coffee or tea before bedtime, just stop. The myths that surround this kind of behavior are all baseless and you better just ignore them if your sleep matters to you.
If possible, quit smoking. Cigarettes are known to trigger high blood pressure, speed heart rates and stimulate brain wave activity all of which are known causes of sleep problems.

Try to relax your mind as much as possible when it is almost bedtime. Even though we are all aware of what exercise does to our bodies, don’t exercise when you are nearing bedtime.
Sleep in a quiet, dark and relatively cool bedroom.
Avoid sleep induction drugs at all costs.

You see clearly then that it is very possible to enjoy good sleep like anyone else. Even if you are already battling with the problem, you need to take heart and carry on with the fight. I believe that if you follow the above prescribed advice, you will regain your sleep.
